Speciality Foods of Africa is a Zimbabwean company that produces a unique range of fairly traded food products from wild harvested natural resources.

Our products are sustainably harvested from the wild and provide an important alternative source of income for rural communities which helps ensure that Zimbabwe's natural resources are protected for future generations.
Our products are manufactured from natural resources that grow, or are grown, without the use of pesticides, chemicals or fertilizers and are processed without the use of artificial flavours or preservatives. All our products have interesting health benefits and traditional uses associated with them.
We work in partnership with a Zimbabwean non-governmental organisation, the Southern Alliance for Indigenous Resources (SAFIRE). Their mission is to facilitate the development and application of innovative approaches to diversify and improve rural livelihoods, based on the utilization, commercialization and sustainable management of natural resources.
We are a member of PhytoTrade Africa (PhytoTrade Africa) - the Southern African Natural Products Trade Association. PhytoTrade Africa's aim is to facilitate growth in the natural products industry in Southern Africa through R&D, business development advice and technical support to members and, most importantly, through market development services.

Natural products are products derived from naturally occurring resources, harvested from the wild by rural producers.

The harvesting of natural products adds diversity to the income of rural people, decreasing their reliance on the success and value of a single crop. It also provides work for those not engaged in farming, making use of their existing knowledge and skills, and harnessing their productive potential for the benefit of themselves and the environment. Fair trade practices ensure that they receive the full value of their labour, and command fair prices for their produce.
