Mopane worms (Imbrasia belina) are an important alternative to beef.  They are higher in protein than beef and only require 3kg of leaves to produce 1kg of worms (1kg beef takes 10kg of feed to produce).

Our mopane worms are harvested sustainably by SAFIRE trained and supported communities in the Gwanda area of Zimbabwe.

Our canned mopane worms will be made with a traditional sauce and are ready to eat.  No cooking required!
